Plešivica - The southwest of Zagreb stands the mountain Plešivica, the smallest wine region in Croatia, but with a thousand-year tradition of production.  We strongly recommend you visit the Korak estate, a family winery growing the highest quality grapes, and producing signature wines and food. In addition to excellent wine, this area is also known for its cheese production and very good hiking and biking trails. On the hills of Plešivica, you can often see flying hawks, and that's how the town Jastrebarsko (jastreb=hawk) at the foot of this mountain got its name.
